Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: BLO (sc in next st, inc in next st) repeat 3 times [9]
Rnd 3: sc in next st, inc in next st, (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st)
repeat 2 times, sc in next st [12]
Rnd 4: sc in all 12 st [12]
Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next st) repeat 3 times [15]
Rnd 6: sc in next 2 st, inc in next st, (sc in next 4 st, inc in
next st) repeat 2 times, sc in next 2 st [18]

Change to bright yellow yarn.

Hold the corona with the last round facing downwards and pull
up a loop of milky white yarn in the last remaining front loop
of Rnd 1.
Rnd 9: FLO (ch 8, start in second ch from hook, slst in next 7
ch, slst in next st) repeat 6 times [6 petals] (pictures 2-3)
The last slst should be made in the first front loop. Continue
working along both sides of each petal.
Rnd 10: continue on the foundation chain, sc in next st, hdc
in next st, dc in next 4 st, hdc in next st (picture 4), 2 sc +
ch 2 + 2 sc in next standing loop (last ch of the starting
chain made in Rnd 1 – picture 5), continue in the back loops

Fasten off in the invisible way. Hold the flowerpot upside
down and pull up a loop of nut brown yarn in the last remaining
front loop of Rnd 15 (picture 9). Ch 2 and work the first stitch
of the next round in this stitch.
Rnd 37: FLO dc in next 39 st [39]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the back
loops of Rnd 37 to the remaining front loops of Rnd 12
(picture 10)
ASSEMBLY
- Place and sew the stamen inside the corona.
- Place and sew the stalk on the center bottom of the flower.
- Place and sew the leaf around the stalk.
- Embroider the mouth on the same round as the eyes with
black sewing thread. Embroider cheek blushes under the
eyes with light red yarn.
